The demo contains 8 full length tracks including three re-recorded tracks from the bands debut demo titled The Euphony of Regression, which was originally released in 2006 while the remainder are new tracks recorded for the demo.

RegretMMXV marked the 10 year anniversary of the one man band. Filsufatia plays Melancholic Atmospheric Instrumental Black Metal exclusively and hails from the bleak shores of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Metal News Malaysia 2013: 2 comments

Destruction will be invading Malaysia. The most talked about event for 2013 would be this years installment of KLMetalcamp #6, the biggest underground annual event for the local metal scene, with the coming of one third of the holy trinity of Teutonic thrash metal, Destruction, to the shores of Malaysia. The show will be held at Chinwoo Stadium, this coming May 4th. The opening bands are the mighty Sil Khannaz (death metal), Humiliation (old school death metal), Stompin Ground (Singaporean Metallic hardcore), Zygoatsis (Siamese Black Metal), Hereafter (Thrash), Nekrad (Goth), Storming Steels (Thrash) and Tools of the Trade (grind). Admission is RM95.00 and the show will start at 2.00pm.

MTD Production will be releasing a 4 way split called Eastern hell Fire. The bands that will be featured in this must have compilation are Antaboga, Keruntuk, Ajal and Kambing Sakti. Malaysian Metal Warrior 2013 Gig will be held on this coming 10th February at Penny Lane Studio, Sunway will feature bands in the likes of Sauts Alastor, Santau, Claw, Ajal, Novrathos, Black Abyss, Balberith and Triumph ov Fire. NEKRAD, Ipoh, Perak's own extreme gothic metal act is currently in the studio, writing and recording their new songs, most probably for a follow up release after the success of their split CD with Vociferation Eternity. Nekrad is by far, one of the most hardworking bands from the shores of Malaysia. If you like Cradle of Filth or Old Mans Child or all those vampire themed goth music, then you should not miss checking out Nekrad.

SICKNESS, the king of Malaysian Goregrind have released a new album called Necrosymphonies of Necropsy. If you like old carcass, then you should try and check this band out. These guys have been around since 1995. Anyway, the album was released by Grundar Production and contains 10 ear blistering tracks that shall melt your earwax and rot your corpses to damnation. CLAW - Negativity Through Solitude Album (Blackwinds Production)

This is the debut album from Claw, a Black Metal quartet from the blasphemous banks of Kuala Lumpur. The band was formed in 2004 with five (including this album) releases under their bulletbelts. Negativity Through Solitude contains 8 tracks and I managed to listen to a couple of tracks from the album and it was dirty, dark and grim. All dirty and grim aside, there are pretty good riffs through out the songs, well, at least in the tracks that I've listened to. RM25/USD12. Order your copy now.

HAYAGRIVA - Descendants XII Album (Khakan Production)

Hayagriva is one of my long time favorite local black metal band and I still thinks that the picture used for the front cover of their debut album, Silverian Art (Elegy Domain) back in 1998, is one of the best cover I've seen for a local release. Descendants XII is the bands third album containing 11 tracks. The sound quality is quite good although the guitars were a bit low in the mix. I believe this is to make way for the keyboards, which managed to create this mystical landscape for each and every song. Still true with their Symphonic black metal or as the band puts it, Dark Shadow Metal, this album is a must. They even got a music video out which for me, shows that the band is really serious in doing what they do. Order your copy now.

VISITANT - The Sword Without Eyes EP (Celestial Frequency)

A melodic death metal quartet from Kuantan Pahang. Formed in 1996, the band was reformed in 2008 after an 8 year of hiatus since the year 2000. The production quality is top notch, the playing is superb plus the 4 songs are extremely melodic and headbangable. SILENT DEATH - Silent Kiss of Death Album (Neo Magik)

Finally! The long awaited and most anticipated album of the year and it has now been unleashed. The second full length from Malaysia's legendary death metal band. I guess it is worth the way. The production quality is very very impressive. 9 solid modern death metal tracks and by modern, I mean, groovy, crunchy, part melodic part brutal and aggressive. VOCIFERATION ETERNITY / NEKRAD - Dragonia Pegaso Split (Metamorphic/Khakan)

This split was released late last year but it is in my opinion, a relatively new release. 4 splendid tracks by each respective band and again, I have to say that the quality is very impressive. I have always loved Vociferation Eternity, a legend in its own Dark Death Metal league. Beautiful melodies for the riffs had always been a strong point with Vociferation Eternity, whereas the not so new but recently rejuvinated Nekrad would give Goth Metal lovers wet dreams. Rants: New Releases. 2 comments

1- Malaysia The Darkness Production is one of the few newer independent label in Malaysia. The latest release from MTD production as far as I am aware of is a demo CD from a band called The Temerity, a black metal foursome from the island of Penang. You can browse Facebook for Malaysia The Darkness or MTD production page and book the demo there.

2- The words in the flyer actually says, and I translate: The Temerity - Khayalan Syaitan Demo ("Satan's lust" in Malay), a demo from a band from Penang playing Eastern Black Death Metal. The demo contains 4 original songs and the lyrics were entirely in Malay. The price is RM6 a pop and the production is limited to 66 copies only. Book yours now, people.

Rants - As Sahar and 7 Sinners. no comments

1- I am currently listening to Helloween's new much anticipated no.15 Studio album, the long overdue 7 Sinners. It is an Ok record I guess. Although the chugs were heavy as hell (as heavy as Better Than Raw if not heavier), I think it was too pop for me. I Still love it though maybe it wont be as much as I have loved their second album with Andi Deris, Time of the Oath. Oh I love that album so much. Well, you go download Helloween 7 Sinners HERE. If you happen to get this album, try and give track no.6, Long Live The King, a proper listen. I like that song for its typical thrashy riff that you can get off from any Bay Area Thrash bands.

2- Whats new? The pioneer of Eastern Black Metal, As Sahar will be re-releasing its debut album, Phenomistik some where in late December this year I guess. This album was one of the first few landmark albums that helped shape and inject the local Black Metal Scene with something original and something to call their own. Awesome. The re-release will be in a digi-pack Compact Disc format and will limited to 500 copies only. Go and order your copy HERE. If you order early enough, you will be getting extra goodies. Hurry up.
